Grand Launching of book "Ancient Wisdom for Modern Society"

Indonesia Vidya Carita (IVC) is a team and formed from an idea to provide services to the community include the provision of Dhamma books and book knowledge, so make it easier for Buddhists who want to perform the transfer service (virtue).
Currently IVC has published several books including Advice to Rahula, Jataka stories about Pahala, Agganna Sutta and Women Great Disciples of the Buddha. This time, the IVC will launch the book "Ancient Wisdom for Modern Society" & Talk Show to be held on Sunday (23/10) in Medan.

Chairman of the Committee, Bety, SH expressed, "At this launch event, the organizers invited Pembimas Buddhism, the Sangha of the Theravada tradition, Mahayana and Tantric, Buddhist clergy, Fr / Ramani Pandita, Lecturer / Teacher Buddhism and the Buddhists who are happy to work together and follow the event. Hopefully this event can tighten the friendship among people from different traditions and beneficial to our daily lives ".

Art events

Executive committee will hold a series of activities by the Brotherhood of art events young people Vihara Dharma Wijaya, Dragon Sister & Mang Jaya Group and a stand of Buddhist books and accessories. As the peak of the event will be held the show Talk Show with Phurbu Tashi Rinpoche (from America) and YM Bhikkhu Khemanando (Chairman Indonesia Theravada Buddhist Centre) and the moderator Handaka Vijjananda (Ehipassiko Foundation, Jakarta), she said.

Lama Phurbu Tashi Rinpoche was born in Tibet in 1973, he was known as a "tulku" or incarnation of the Lama Temple Gangkar Bo. Long accepted the early monastic education at Temple Gangkar and then continue his education at the schoold of Palpung Temple for two years. Monks who practice meditation is to learn from several teachers in India, Sikkim and Nepal.

Lama Phurbu Tashi Rinpoche, in the end receive education at the Institute of Nalanda in India and got a resounding success as a student of Buddhist. With the devotion that has been refurbished, traditional retreat Lama run for three years, three months and three days under the guidance of YES Bokar Rinpoche.

After completing his retreat, he became a teacher retreat for three years. He wrote a book about vegetarianism, which is recommended by the YES Dalai Lama and Y.A. Orgyen Dorje Karmapa Trinle by asserting the importance of the message delivered by the author. Lama Phurbu Tashi Rinpoche, later emigrated to the United States and now living and teaching in Annapolis, Maryland.
